Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UPCPMT)
Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UPCPMT) is an entrance examination conducted for admission of students into its various bachelor medical and dental courses in the medical and dental institutes in Uttar Pradesh by CSM Medical University, Lucknow.
A large number of students from Uttar Pradesh are appearing for UPCPMT in order to get admission in the best medical and dental colleges of Uttar Pradesh.
In Uttar Pradesh there are 41 Government/private institutes in which admission of candidates is done through UPCPMT. Among these 41 institutes, 8 institutes offer MBBS, 15 Institutes offer BDS and rest of the institutes offer BAMS/BHMS/BUMS.
Program offered at medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh :
- MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
- BDS Bachelor of Dental Surgery
- BHMS Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery
- BAMS Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery
- BUMS Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery
UPCPMT 2012 Eligibility Details
- Candidate must be an Indian Citizen
- Applicant must have attained a minimum 17 years of age in the year in which he / she want to appear in Combined Pre Medical Test
- Applicant should possess a Domicile of Uttar Pradesh
- Applicant should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% aggregate marks (In case candidates belongs to SC/ST category must have passed the examination with not less than 40% of aggregate marks) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In addition candidates should have also passed English.
Candidates who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 are also eligible to apply for UPCPMT.
Reservation of Seats:
Seats are reserved as per policy of State Government are:
- OBC (27%),
- SC (21 %),
- ST (2%)
- And horizontal reservation to Women candidates (20%),
- Physically Handicapped (3%),
- Dependants of Freedom Fighters (2%),
- Son/daughter of Ex-serviceman (Handicapped in War, Retired or Martyrs) (2%),
- NCC Cadet ('C Certificate with 'B' Grading) (1%)
UPCPMT 2012 Application Procedure
For general and OBC candidates Application Forms / Brochure fee is Rs.665/-
And for SC/ST candidates an application fee is Rs. 365/-
Application forms and prospectus are available at all Head Post Offices of all Districts of Uttar Pradesh and at two Districts of Uttarakhand State i.e. Dehradun and Nainital.
Applicants can also obtain the application forms from additional branches of Post Offices of districts Agra (Sanjay Palace), Aligarh (AMU), Allahabad (Kutcheri & High Court), Bareilly (Cantt), Gorakhpur (University), Jhansi (University), Kanpur (Cantt, University and Nawabganj), Luck now (GPO, Gomti Nagar, Chowk and Nirala Nagar), Meerut (Cantt) Varanasi (Cantt.) and New Delhi (GPO and Kalkaji H.Q.).

UPCPMT 2012 Exam Pattern
The admission of the candidates depends upon their score in the entrance test. The test will consist of two papers. Two hours are given for completing each paper. The first paper includes hundred questions from the subjects of Botany and Zoology. The second paper contains hundred questions from Physics and Chemistry. Those who qualified in the first two papers have to take a third paper. It is for evaluating the candidates’ Hindi language usage. The test is of objective type format. Each question has four options.The candidates who clear the tests will be selected for the counseling session.The Exam Pattern For UP Combined Pre-Medical Test (UPCPMT 2012) is given below :
