Despite his best efforts to become invisible, Eric is chosen to sing a solo in his school play. He's so horrified that he isn't even mortified by his mother singing fortissimo in the cinema (and being chucked out as a result!). They have received another magical present from mad Auntie Rose: this time she's sent perfume that makes the wearer sing! Eric decides the only thing to do is use it himself. The school will never again have such a rousing rendition of 'We are the Bandits Bold and Brave', with even the Mayor joining in - but alas, Eric still doesn't manage to sing a note of his solo!
