CBSE Class 12 English 2011 Question Paper

The 2011 CBSE Class 12 English Question Paper came with 12 questions. The Question Paper was divided into three sections such as Reading, Writing, and Text Books. Most of the questions comprised of many sub parts. The 12 questions totalled to 100 marks.

The section ‘Reading’ was based on passages. There were very short answer type questions that carried 1 mark, short answer questions that carried 2 marks, note making that carried 5 marks, and summary writing that carried 3 marks. All the questions in Section A totalled to 20 marks.

The ‘Writing’ section had a total of 4 questions. The questions comprised of short writing that carried 5 marks, long writing that carried 10 marks, letter writing for 10 marks, and article writing that carried 10 marks.

The ‘Text Books’ section came with 6 questions, which totalled to 45 marks. It comprised of very short answer questions that carried 1 mark each, short answer questions that carried 2 marks each, long answer questions that carried 10 marks each, and long answer questions of 7 marks each.  The questions in this section were on poetry appreciation, interpretation, comprehension, understanding, content organization, fluency and coherence.
