Normally every year Bihar School Examination Board conducts the Annual Secondary School Examination in month of the February/March and the Supplementary School Examination in month of August/September on basis of the course/syllabus as prescribed by state Government.

Apart from aforesaid Secondary School Examination, Board also conducts departmental examinations (not on yearly basis) such as the Diploma in the Physical Education, Certificate in the Physical Education and Teachers Training Examination on the terms and condition as laid down by State Government.
