AFCAT 2011 Question Paper
AFCAT 2011 stands for Air Force Common Admission Test 2011. It is conducted every year for admission in Indian Air Force for flying, technical or ground duty. The Indian Air Force or IAF is one of the most important branches of Indian Defense System. Indian Air Force is the fourth largest air force of the world. Indian Air Force conducts its operation in air. The President of India is the supreme commander-in-chief of the Indian Air Force.
AFCAT 2011 Question Paper Analysis
The syllabus of AFCAT exam is similar to the secondary school examination. It consists of following section:
- Verbal Ability,
- Numerical Ability,
- Reasoning,
- General Awareness and
- Aptitude.
Time duration of AFCAT 2011question paper is two hours. The entire question will be of Multiple Choice Questions. There can be 100 or more total number of questions in AFCAT 2011. Each question carries 3 marks. Students fetch 3 marks for each right answer. There is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
Strategy to prepare for AFCAT 2011 question paper
Students should start preparing for AFCAT 2011 well in advance. AFCAT 2011 question paper has a fixed pattern, which if once understood will be helpful to acquire good marks in AFCAT exam.
- General Awarenesspaper
To achieve this, students required to practice from previous years papers. General Awareness paper of AFCAT 2011 contain questions from History, Sports, Geography, Environment,Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc. Students can refer book General awareness - pratiyogita darpan or S. Chand’s advanced objective General Knowledge book along with reading newspaper for the preparation of general awareness section.
- Verbal Ability Paper
Verbal Ability in Englishpaper of AFCAT 2011 contain question from Comprehension, Error Detection,Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary. Students can refer any Englishcompetitive or grammar book to prepare for this section.
- Numerical Ability Paper
Numerical Abilityof AFCAT 2011contains questions from Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit& loss, Percentage, Ratio &Proportion and Simple interest. Students can start preparation for this section from Quantitative aptitude by R.S. Agarwal.
- Reasoning and Aptitude Paper
Reasoning and Military Aptitude section contain question to test the Verbal Skills and SpatialAbility of the students.Students can refer book of verbal and nonverbal reasoning by R.S.Agarwal for preparing for AFCAT 2011 question paper.
After practicing from books and notes, students are advised to practice from previous year papers and give mock tests. It will help them to determine the level of their preparation and rectifying their mistakes. Students thinking ability, analytical and reasoning skills are important factor in qualifying AFCAT 2011.
