National Aptitude Test (NAT)
National Aptitude Test (NAT) is a Common Admission Form cum common entrance test conducted once in a year for admission of candidates at the Under Graduate (NAT-UG) (BBA, BCA, BFT, B.Com, BMC etc.) and the Post Graduate (NAT-PG) and PG (MBA, MCA, M.Com, MFT, MMC, MIB, PGDCA, PGDBM, PGDBA etc) levels Management, Professional & allied programs of Participating Institutions as per NAT Bulletin.
Society for Research & Development in Education (SRDE) is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 at Delhi, India which has formed the SRDE's Association of Higher Education Institutions (SAHEI). SRDE is an ISO 9001-2000 certified non-profit organization established in the year 2002.
The meritorious students of NAT are also eligible for the following Scholarships and Awards:
Smt. Santosh Memorial Merit Scholarships: SRDE offers one time merit scholarship of a total amount Rs. 1,00,000/- to be distributed among the top 10 rank holders of NAT-UG and NAT-PG respectively.
Dr. S. V. Narayanan Awards: SRDE offers cash awards of Rs. 1000/- each in order of merit to the next 10 candidates (i.e. other than scholarship recipients) of NAT-UG and NAT-PG five in each group
NAT 2012 Eligibility Criteria
All candidates at the Under Graduate and Post Graduate levels passed / appeared / appearing) are eligible to appear for NAT
For NAT-UG
Candidates who have passed or appeared / are going to appear in the 10+2 of recognized Boards are eligible to appear for NAT-UG and their results will be valid only if they clear the Senior Secondary or equivalent examination of the approved Boards
For NAT-PG
Candidates who have passed or appeared / are going to appear in the final year of the graduate degree courses of UGC /AICTE recognized Universities / Institutions are also eligible to appear for NAT-PG and their results will be valid only if they clear the qualifying examination.
NAT 2012 Application Procedure
In order to register for National Aptitude Test – NAT the candidates have to follow following steps:
- By sending crossed demand draft for Rs.750/- drawn in favour of SRDE-SAHEI payable at New Delhi by ordinary post (no registered or other mode is acceptable) to: SRDE-SAHEI, A-1/4, Sector-8, Rohini, Delhi – 110 085 (India). Request for Bulletin-cum-Registration form must reach the above address latest by 3rd May, 2011 and the duly completed application form must be received by the last date of receipt of form. SAHEI will not be responsible for any postal delay or non-receipt of Bulletin and the application form by the last date.
- On cash payment of Rs. 650/- from select branches of AXIS BANK across the country apart from special sale counters. The branch details can be obtained from the website.
- The form can also be downloaded from the website and sent to SAHEI with a demand draft for Rs. 750/- drawn in favour of SRDE-SAHEI payable at New Delhi by ordinary post (no registered or other mode is acceptable) to SRDE-SAHEI, A-1/4, Sector-8, Rohini, Delhi – 110085.

NAT 2012 Examination Pattern
The examination pattern for UG consists of 3 papers namely Paper 1 carrying a total mark for 100 with a duration of 85 minutes, paper 2 carrying a total mark for 100 with a duration of 85 minutes sand paper 3 carrying a total mark for 200 with a duration of 150 minutes. The questions will be multiple choice objective questions and short answers that are asked from the topics like language skills, reasoning & verbal skills and general awareness.

The examination pattern for PG consists of 200 multiple choice questions for total mark of 200 that have to be completed within duration of 150 minutes. The questions will be asked form the subjects like data analysis, critical analysis, decision making skills and Quantitative analysis.
