Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC)
Maharashtra Public Service Commission is conducted to recruit the candidates in various departments of the Government of Maharashtra. It is a Constitutional Body which was established Under Article 315 of Constitution of India, to enable a smooth functioning of all the departments of Government of Maharashtra. This examination recruits the candidates in departments like Maharashtra Agriculture Services, Maharashtra State Services, Maharashtra Police Sub Inspector, Maharashtra Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate, Motor Vehicle Department, Maharashtra Electrical Engineering Services.
MPSC 2011 Eligibility Criteria
In order to appear for the MPSC examination, the candidates must be a graduate in any discipline. Even post graduates are eligible to apply for this examination.
The age of the candidates must be between 19 to 28. However, for the OBC, ST and SC candidates the age is relaxed upto 33 years.
The candidate can be a professional with previous job experiences. However, even a fresher is also allowed to take part in this examination.
It is mandatory for the candidates to have a very good command over written and spoken Marathi.
MPSC 2011 Application Procedure
Candidates wishing to apply in this examination have to apply online. Candidates can visit here in order to apply for this examination. He must first chose the test center which who would be the most comfortable with. After that he has to sign up, log in using his user name and password and fill up his profile details. Then he has to choose the examination he wants to write, choose the examination center and fill up the other details. This would generate an examination ID. The candidate has to print the application and the challan and pay the examination fee in a specified branch of State Bank. The bank would provide the candidate with a transaction ID. The candidate has to enter his transaction ID to complete the application procedure.
MPSC 2011 Examination Pattern
Examination patterns and question are different for every subject and every post. However, in most cases the examinations are conducted out of 200 marks with three hours dedicated to each paper. This pattern is mainly followed for examinations like MPSC Electrical Engineering. In this pattern, there would be five sections in the question paper, Section A, Section B, Section C, Section D and Section E. Each Section will have two or three questions and the candidates have to attempt just one question from a section. Each section will carry 40 marks.
In certain cases, the examination will be conducted out of 100 marks. In this case, the paper will consist of 100 questions are all questions will be compulsory. These would mainly be objective type in nature with multiple choice type questions. However, this pattern might also be applicable for all those examinations that are conducted out of 200 marks or 150 marks.
MPSC 2011 Important Dates
In the year 2011, the written tests have been scheduled from June 16th to continue till July 2nd. Different dates are allotted for different posts. The interview dates for the candidate have been scheduled from June 28 till July 10. For some posts like that of Police Sub-Inspectors, it is necessary for the candidates to pass a physical test.
