Maharashtra Scholarship Exams

 

In today’s environment, manifesting to various types of competitive exams in different subjects at different levels is a must. Parents should attempt to achieve competency of their child on a large domain rather than settling for scores gained in school exams.

Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) is an autonomous institution in behalf of Government of Maharashtra for conducting various school level competitive exams. The Maharashtra State Council of Examination is the premier organization in Maharashtra, which is known for the Middle School and High School Scholarships Examinations. The aim of the MSCE is to take up talent search at primary, secondary and Professional level, through reliable, transparent and valid conduct of examinations.

MSCE conducts examination for

1. Middle School Scholarship Examination

2. High School Scholarship Examination

Middle School Scholarship Examination

Objectives:

1.

To undertake talent search at the end of Primary Schooling i.e. at the end of 4th Standard.

2.

To nurture and encourage the talented and Deserving students by recognizing and provide them financial support.

Eligibility: Regular students studying in Government Recognized Schools in 4th standard. Is eligible for Scholarship get admission in 5th std with respective of the Public School.

Age limit : 12 to 15 years (Category based), General – 12 Years BC Boys – 14,  BC Girls – 15 years

Mode of Applications: The Completed Application in prescribed form to be submitted to the concern Education Officer of the district or Education Officer, Education Officer BMC Greater Mumbai.

*The SC, ST, VJNT candidates are exempted from Examination fee. (Rs.20/-)

Schedule of Examination:

Every year the Examination Conduct usually on Third Sunday of February, in around 5584 examination centers in all the districts of the Maharashtra State.

Disbursement of Scholarship:

Through Director of Education (Secondary & Higher Secondary Education) Central Building, Pune – 411001 and the Education officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad / Education Inspector Greater Mumbai.

Medium:
The question papers are available in Marathi, English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujrathi, Sindhi, Telgu and Kannad Media.

Each paper consists of 50 objective type multiple choice questions, of 2 marks each.
There is no negative marking. First five corrections in each paper are allowed.
The Question paper and answer sheets are provided separately. The answer sheets are computerized and are assessed with the help of computer. A candidate getting minimum 30 marks in each paper & 120 in aggregate is considered as ‘PASSED’.

District Nodal Agency: The Education officer (Primary) Zilla Parishad in each district and Education officer, BMC Mumbai.

Result: The Candidates are provided with mark sheet showing their achievement in each paper and eligibility for Scholarship. There is a provision for verification of marks. An application for verification needs to be submitted within 15 days after the declaration of result in the prescribed format with the D.D. of Rs.20/- per subject through the concerning School from which the student appeared for the Examination and the Education Officer (Pry) Z.P./E.O.(B.M.C.) The Results will be  finalized after verification. All Scholarship Holders are awarded with certificate also.

High School Scholarship Exam

Objectives:

1.

To undertake talent search at the end of Primary Schooling i.e. at the end of 7th Standard.

2.

To nurture and encourage the talented and deserving students by recognizing and provide them financial support.

Eligibility: Regular students studying in Government Recognized Schools in 7th standard.

Age limit: 14 to 17 years (Category based), General 14 Years & BC Boys 16, BC Girls 17 years

Mode of Applications: The Application in prescribed form is to be submitted to the concerning school. The Headmaster will submit all the applications received by him to the Education Officer (primary) of the District Education Officer or Educational Inspector Greater Mumbai (North, South, and West).

Conduct the Examination Normally on Third Sunday of February, every Year in around 3605 examination centers in all the districts of the Maharashtra State.

Each district is provided with definite number of sets of Scholarship separate for rural and urban area Selection list of each district for the prescribed sets is prepared in descending order of merit. Sanctioned number of seats in each district is as Follows.
