Indian Navy SSR Admit Card
Indian Navy is one of the most reputed and respectable organization in the country. Being one of the integrated parts of our defence system, Indian navy is greatly respected amongst the citizens of India.
Indian Navy conducts a selection process for recruitment of Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) Sailors in Indian Navy. There are four major exams conducted for recruitment as sailors in Indian Navy: Artificer Apprentice, Direct Entry for Diploma Holders, Senior Secondary Recruit & MR/NMRs and Musicians. The exam for recruitment of male candidates who have finished Senior Secondary Education (10+2) is Senior Secondary Recruitment (SSR).
Senior Secondary Recruits training comprises 6 months Basic Training at INS Chilka. This is followed by 24 weeks professional training in any of the Naval Establishments in India.
1. Applicant should be an Indian Citizen/Gorkha (subject of Nepal).
2. Candidate must be an unmarried male while applying for the Exam.
3. The age limit should be between 17-21 years on the date of enrollment.
4. The candidate must have passed Class 12th or equivalent with subjects of Physics, Mathematics and one of these subjects: Chemistry, Biology and Computers.
Eligible candidates are then called to appear in the written test. The duration of the test will be of 1 hour consisting of multiple choice Questions from Science, Mathematics, and English & General Knowledge. Standard of the paper will be of 10+2 level.
Those short-listed candidates in the written test are then called for a Physical Fitness Test. In Physical Fitness Test candidate will have to run one mile (1.6 km) in 7 minutes, do 20 squats (Uthak-Baithak) and 10 push-ups.
Candidates who qualify the physical fitness test will have a further medical test to check the medical fitness of the candidates. After the candidates clear all the three stages he is finally selected.
The height of the candidate should not be less than 157 cms with proportionate body weight. Also the candidate should possess good mental and physical health and should be free from any disease/disability. Candidates should also meet the eyes visual and other standards as specified in the notification.
