Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET)

GUJCET 2012 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or equivalent examination under 10+2 patterns from any recognized Board.

Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with science stream, from any recognized Board.

Candidates, who have appeared in the final of the qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply.

Candidates, who are the son / daughter of an officer/defense personnel / employee of the Government of Gujarat, are also eligible to appear in the Gujarat CET.

GUJCET 2012 Application Procedure

Gujarat State Education Board has prepared a GUJCET 2012 Information Booklet and GUJCET 2012 Application Form. The interested candidates can get the application form & brochure by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- drawn in the favor of Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell payable at Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar.

GUJCET 2012 Booklet and GUJCET Application Forms 2012 will be available on payment of Rs. 250/- by Demand Draft from nationalized bank payable at Ahmedabad in favour of The Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar from the following GUJCET Form Distribution Centers during the time and date prescribed below.

GUJCET 2012 Information booklet & GUJCET 2012 Application Form will be available on 2nd week of December, 2011 to Last week of December, 2011 during 11-00 hours to 17-00 hours. Duly filled GUJCET 2012 Application Forms can be returned at the distribution centers on Last week of December, 2011 during 11-00 to 17-00 hours.

GUJCET 2012 Important Dates

GSEB (Gujarat State Education Board), Government of Gujarat conducts a Common Entrance Test for admission to Medical, Degree Engineering and Diploma/Degree Pharmacy courses in colleges in the Gujarat state after Std. XII Science Stream.

GUJCET 2012 Application Form will be available on 2nd week of December, 2011 to Last week of December, 2011

GUJCET 2012 Exam is likely to be conducted in the month of 1st week of April, 2012.

GUJCET 2012 Results is likely to be declared in the month of May, 2012.

GUJCET 2012 Examination Pattern

The test is usually held in the months of April/May every year by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board .The test will be based on the syllabus of Std XI & XII.This examination comprises of objective type questions with each question having four options with one correct answer. The questions in the test are asked from the subjects of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. 40 questions are asked from each part and every question carries 1 mark. Total duration for each part is 60 minutes. The candidates appear for a different combination of subjects, according to their preferred field, either in Medicine, Engineering or Pharmacy. GUJCET exam is conducted in three mediums of languages such as English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

GUJCET 2012 Points to Ponder

Admissions into various professional and technical courses in the Gujarat state are taken on the basis of 40% score in GUJCET and 60% score of 12thclass.
The marks obtained in PCM (without practicals) in the qualifying examination are considered as the effective weightage for GUJCET exam which is in between 21-28%.
