GMAT

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a standardized assessment delivered in English that helps business schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. Schools use the test as one predictor of academic performance in an MBA program or in other graduate management programs. The GMAT exam measures basic verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills that you have developed in your education and work.

Exam Dates

The GMAT exam is conducted all through the year. The dates for GMAT depend on the applicant as he can select a GMAT test date according to his choice. It would depend on when he is prepared to take the test and his convenience otherwise.

Exam Fee

The cost to take the GMAT exam is US$250 globally.

    GRE

    GRE Exam is actually Graduate Recorded Exam. The Education Testing Service (ETS) directs The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) on behalf of the Graduate Record Examinations Board and the Council of Graduate Schools. GRE Exam chiefly a multiple-choice test. The GRE Exam scores have to be submitted by students aspiring for admission in international graduate school for Graduate program. Apart from the general GRE Exam there are about 12 GRE subject Tests offered by the program to help determine a students success in specific fields. In addition to this the GRE program also offers a variety of services and publications to help students transfer to their respective graduate program.

    Exam Dates

    GRE Test is administered throughout the year. There is no specific GRE test dates. A test taker can choose his GRE test dates and time in a nearby centre. The GRE test is conducted in almost all major cities around the globe from Monday to Friday two times a day which makes specific GRE test dates unnecessary. The problem associated with GRE test dates is that during September to December most of the test takers tend to give their GRE test and most of the test takers will choose a day between September and December as their GRE test dates. The GRE test dates between sep and December will fill up very quickly.

    Exam Fee

    Generally to register for the GRE test within US and U.S. territories and Puerto Rico amounts to 115 dollars for General test and 130 dollars for Subject test.

    The registration fee of 140 dollars for General test and 150 dollars for Subject test which amounts to about 7000 rupees has to be paid by the Indian student who wishes to take the test. Students from China, inclusive of Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan, need to pay 175 U.S. dollars as GRE registration fee.

    The student who wish to reschedule their GRE test is required to pay a 40 dollar reschedule fee. Any additional score report would require 15 dollars as payment for per sheet. The refund on cancellation would amount to 60 dollars and is valid only if the cancellation is made at least 7 days before the chosen test date. The standby fee on registration of GRE is 35 US dollars.

    SAT

    The SAT is an international competitive exam that is accepted by most US universities and colleges for admissions to bachelor programmers. Many colleges and universities use the SAT as one of the indicators to admit students. SAT scores are also helpful in securing a scholarship. While most universities accept SAT-I scores, there are many universities that also require you to take the SAT-II.

    SAT is administered 7 times a year for students in U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Territories. But, for overseas students, the SAT is offered only 6 times each calendar year normally from October to June month.

    TOEFL

    The Test of English as a Foreign Language - TOEFL measures your ability to communicate in English. TOEFL is accepted by 6,000+ institutions in more than 130 countries. With more than 4,300 test centers worldwide, taking the test is convenient and easy. The TOEFL measures how well you read, listen, speak and write in English and use these skills together in the university classroom. For example, you might read a passage or listen to a lecture, and then write or speak about what you learned. You can take the Internet-based Test (iBT) or the Paper-based Test (PBT), depending on which format is offered at your chosen test center. You would be required to take the TOEFL test, If you are planning to study at colleges and universities where the medium of instruction is English. TOEFL is used for admissions to the top colleges and universities around the world including those based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia and New Zealand. In addition, many government agencies, scholarship programs, and licensing/certification agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate English proficiency. TOEFL offers the iBT-Internet Based Test in most locations and where this is not available it offers Paper Based Tests to applicants.

    TOEFL Test dates are scheduled by TOEFL conducting authority. The ETS (Educational Testing Services) is the TOEFL administrator for fixing the dates and holding the examinations worldwide. The TOEFL® iBT is offered 30-40 times a year at authorized test centers throughout the world.
