Question : We're doing a chemistry project in my class and I'm trying to explain the chemistry behind a rubbing alcohol-dish soap-water ice pack. All that I can think of right now is: C3H7OH (isopropyl alcohol) + H2O (water) + soap => ice pack??? But the bottom line is that the freezing point depression is based on the number of particles (atoms, molecules, ions) in solution.
