Little Shop Of Physics Physicist Explains Basic Principles Through Han.. - April 1, 2007 — A Colorado State University professor has discovered how to get teens excited about science. Jones' Little Shop of Physics consists of 200 experiments using common household products that spin, glow, magnetize and mesmerize, to explain everything from sound waves to riding waves. He's even had students in university classes who say they remember what they learned in his Little Shop of Physics. Question : i'm writing a story and the kids are in 12th grade and are in physics class. they just got back from spring break and I dont really know much about physics. I'm taking physical science but i know its somewhat different from physics but like what would be some topics they'd be learning toward the end of the year? (it can be college physics idc as long as it's physics....)
Answer : College physics is quite different. Highschool physics deal more with concepts and 2 dimensions ( x & y axis ) while college adds 3D models with a 'Z' axis. Some common high-school physic topics would be: ' Momentum, force, trajectory, motion, sound waves, circular motion, light refraction, electrical circuit'. Good luck

Question : I want to go into Family practice or pediatrics, and i was wondering which AP classes should i take? Should I choose AP Bio or AP Chem? please be detailed because I really want to go to a good Med. College like UCLA, UCI etc. etc. please? and thank you =)
Answer : It's hard to answer this question without knowing what classes you have already taken. Keep in mind that although you are interested in med. school, all good colleges like to see AP classes. I don't know what type of student you are, how many AP classes you can handle and if you've had any AP classes yet. You could take both AP Bio and AP Chem. AP US History is also usually taken in 11th grade. You may have already had AP Psych in 10th grade. What about AP Calc or AP Stats? You will also want to to take AP Physics in 12th grade with AP American Government and AP Economics
