I would like to skip Basic Physics and go straight into Mechanics of Solids and Fluids. I have completed Calculus 3. Is it a bad idea to skip Basic Physics? Has anyone taken Solids and Fluids (or something similar) and found it exceedingly difficult even after a basic physics class?

I've taken Calc 2, and even after than Basic physics was tricky so going to Mechan of solids and Fluids will definately be difficult if you have no background knowledge of Physics
