Question : Okay, so I am in Year 10 and have just been doing the basic science this year as we go on to do our additional stuff next year I think. Answer : All the module exams are out of 36, but the exam board does a calculation to give you a UMS mark when you do the proper exams which is out of 50. The way they do it is look at everyones mark then look at how hard the test was. Then they work out the grade boundaries. Before its converted, i.e. the raw mark grade boundaries are usually: 31 - 36 A* 28 - 30 A 25 - 27 B 22 - 24 C 19 - 21 D
