English comprehension passages for grade 8 Questions & Answers
Question : I am about to take the SATs soon and I am terrified of it. One, I do terrible on the reading comprehension passages. I do fine on the fill-in-the-blank part, but when it comes to the passages, i do horrible. What are some of your techniques to improve this section? What do you do? Please help, thank you!

Answer : It is perhaps on the easier side for many Grade 8 readers but a good book is a good book so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Other good books you might enjoy and not find too hard are A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle and The Turbulent Term of Tyke Tyler by Gene Kempe. The last one is an English book so it might be hard to get in Canada but it is considered a classic and is very easy to read.
