Can I use the standard dial type pressure gauge (Bourdon type) to measure? How can I differentiate Hydraulic gauge from pneumatic ones.

Answer : Hello, Yes, you can insert Bourdon pressure gauges anywhere in your irrigation system. The gauges are not different, just get regular pressure gauges (not ones made for hospital oxygen). Make sure that the range on the gauge covers your maximum possible pressure. I usually use 0 - 60 psi. The cheap ones are fragile, but as long as you put them in pipes that never move, they are just fine. A sudden impulse or force will cause the faceplate to bend and jam the needle. Good Luck EDIT -- I should have mentioned, if you want to put a gauge on the suction side of the pump, you would need a special Vacuum gauge.
