All the list of radicals and their valencies Questions & Answers

Question : I know about 40 so far. So i need about 180more radicals to learn. How do i do this? Chinese i would like to know the name of the radical and what it means

Answer : This has a list of the radicals, their variants and their meanings. http://www.yellowbridge.com/chinese/radicals.php It's pretty much a memorization process. I found it easier to learn words or groups of words with radicals rather than just the radicals themselves, but that's just my learning style. You may be more analytical and knowing the parts of words may help you learn the words themselves. Good luck!

Question : i have this assignment and have no idea what polyatomic radicals mean , i need to know the the symbols and valencies of polyatomic radicals (hydroxide , nitrate ,sulphate , carbonate , phosphate ,ammonium and bicarbonate) thanks allot

Answer : OH- NO3- SO42- CO32- PO43- NH4+ HCO3-

Question : 2. witch group of elemnts on the periodic table are very reactive and why?

Answer : Valence electrons are the electrons in the outer ring, or 'electron shell' of an atom. Different atoms have different valence electrons. Just look at what column they are in to discover how many valence electrons there are. The alkali metals are very reactive to water. That is everything from lithium to francium. However, I do not know why they are so reactive to water. Sorry I couldn't help you there. Also, all metals (which is everything under the staircase on the periodic table to the right, minus hydrogen) conduct electricity very well. Gases, however, do not conduct electricity. I hope I've helped for the most part.
