Combined Engineering Service Examination (CES)
The Combined Engineering Services (CES) Examination is conducted every year by the UPSC for recruitment of personnel to the following four categories of engineering services:
(a) Civil Engineering
(b) Mechanical Engineering
(c) Electrical Engineering and
(d) Electronics & telecommunication Engineering.
The following are the services/posts to which selection is made in the four categories:

CES 2011 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants age should be 21 to 30 years. SC/ST and OBC candidates have age relaxation.
Candidate should hold Degree in Engineering from a recognized university
Candidate should pass in A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
Applicants with Degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution are also eligible to apply.
Candidate should pass in Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (India) or in Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London.
Candidate should clear Associate Membership Examination Part II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India or Sections A and B of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
CES 2011 Application Procedure
The application form along with an Information Brochure containing general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending the application will be obtainable from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty only).
Form should be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices only and not from any other agency. This form can be used only once and for only one examination.
The dully filled application forms should be submit on or before the last date.

Last Date for Receipt of Applications either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by Courier : 24th January, 2011
Date of Examination : 14th May, 2011 (3 days)
