CBSE nic in Public Portal
Central Board of Education also called as CBSE was established in the year 1962. The main objectives of the board were to serve the educational institutions more effectively, to be more responsive to the educational needs of students and parents who were employed in the central government. The board has 8979 schools affiliated to it including 141 schools in 21 different countries. The administration is mainly on the decentralized basis, with several regional offices who are vested with power to take decisions. There is one head office which looks after the regional offices.
It is a self financing body, which meets the expenditure without any grant from the central government or any sources. All the requirements are met through examination charges, affiliation charges, and admission fees for PMT, AIEEE etc.
The main objectives of the board is to bring in innovation in teaching methods, to bring I innovation in teaching and evaluation methods, to bring in skill oriented studies and to bring in new techniques for teachers and administrators to bring in change in the teaching methods.
