Aligarh Muslim University Common Admission Test is an entrance examination managed or control for admission to management courses like MBA/MBA (International Business). Admission to the MBA courses shall be made on the basis of Aligarh Muslim University Combined admission test (CAT) score, group discussion and interview. Short listed candidates in the written test would be called for group discussion and interview / aptitude test.

AMU invites applications for admission to MBA, for the upcoming academic year of 2011Admission in this University are based Written Test carries on by the University or there’s Exam Society. It is a must to have cleared the entire eligibility criterion to secure admission.

AMU MBA Entrance Exam 2012 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum education qualification required to appear for the examination is higher secondary with 50% marks in the qualifying examination. They must study English with PCB as subject sin the plus two streams under the recognized board. The AMU doesn’t promote any type of reservation at any level. The minimum age limit is 17 years.

AMU MBA Entrance Exam 2012 Application Procedure

The application forms will be available at the office campus.

Students willing to take admission in this famous university need to collect an application form in the month of February.

Care should be taken while filling up the application form and have to follow all the rules mentioned in the application form.

The applicants have to submit the duly filled application form within the 1st week of March.

AMU MBA entrance exam 2012 is an objective type paper that comprises of 200 questions. The total marks are 200. The questions are divided into following 5 sections:

(i) Environmental Awareness

Characteristics of Indian economy
Basic economic indicators

Indian banking system and its functioning

(ii) Numerical Ability

Comprehension at paragraph and sentence level

Vocabulary – word formation, synonyms, antonyms, pairing of words, analogies, sentence structure and construction, active and passive voice, prepositions, completion of sentences, etc.

(iii) Comprehension

Elementary Arithmetic – percentage, ratio, proportion time and distance, relative speed, time and work, interest, stocks, shares and discount, rules of divisibility, HCF and LCM, power, exponents and roots;
Elementary algebra – algebraic equations;
