All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination :
All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination is conducted for admission of students to various Post Graduate Medical Courses under various Constituent college of Education Society Deemed University.
AIPGEE 2012 Eligibility Criteria
Applicant should be an Indian Citizen.
The candidate must have an MBBS/BDS degree from any recognized medical/dental college or a foreign degree included in the schedules to the Indian Medical council act, 1956 and full registration either from the medical/dental council of India or state medical/dental council after completing the compulsory rotating internship.
Candidates who have obtained MBBS/BDS from medical/dental colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible to apply
However, candidates who were nominated by the government of India (ministry of health and family welfare/DGHS New Delhi) to do MBBS/BDS from medical/dental colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to apply subject to submission of requisite documents specified in the prospectus
The candidates should complete the required period of 12 months pre-registration internship from a recognized hospital on or before 31st March, 2012
AIPGEE 2012 Application Procedure
The applications will be available online & offline from the mid week of October till mid week of September. The last date for receipt of applications will be in mid week of September. The exam will be conducted in the month of January.
The Application form and prospectus will be available on the website www.aiimsexams.org and must be read by the applicants before applying. The application fee is Rs 1000/- for general category students and Rs 800/- for SC/ST candidates.The fees can be paid by sending a demand draft in the favour of “AIPGMEE”, payable at Delhi. The applications can be downloaded by logging into website www.aiimsexams.org.
Online application:
Applicant can submit application on-line through internet. Visit www.aiimsexams.org read the prospectus and other details carefully and follows the instructions given therein.
The candidate can pay the application fee through a challan form (downloaded from internet while applying on-line) in any branch of State Bank of India. Transaction processing fee (as applicable) will be payable to the bank.
Offline application:
Candidates can also be obtained application form and prospectus by post by sending a crossed bank draft for Rs 1050/- for general/OBC and Rs 850/- for SC/ST category, drawn in favour of the accounts officer (exams) AIPGMEE-2011
The bank draft should be payable at New Delhi and should be valid for six months (up to March/April, 2011)

The address at which application form is required should be written clearly in capital letters and with pin code
AIIMS will not be responsible for delay/non-receipt of application form caused by illegible or incomplete address
Candidates can also obtained application form by hand from the reception counter of examination section, AIIMS against bank draft for Rs 1000/- for general/OBC and Rs 800/- for SC/ST category drawn in favour of the accounts officer (exams) AIPGMEE-2011 as specified above.
Indian postal orders, money orders, cheques or cash will not be accepted for postal/counter sale.

AIPGEE 2012 Examination Pattern
Total duration for the test will be of three and half hours (3½ hours) which consists of 300 multiple choice questions (MCQs) consisting of Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical subjects. Questions will be of single best response objective type with four answer options. Each correct answer will be awarded with 4 marks & 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
