UP Police Recruitment Application Forms
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has come up with a huge recruitment notification to recruit 35000 Constables in UP Police department.
After recruiting 35000 constables the largest recruitment drive in the state that earned praise from the Union Home Ministry for transparency the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is all set to start recruitment of a record 10,000 Sub-Inspectors next month. This is the first time UP Police will induct such a large number of S-Is. In the past, the highest number of S-Is inducted in one go was 1,800 in the year 1981,1982 and 1983. The recruitment is part of the government’s plan to strengthen the UP Police by inducting 2.25 lakh policemen, including 25,000 Head Constables, 40,000 S-Is and the remaining constables. At present, there are 15,000 S-Is.

Age Limit for UP Police Recruitment
The candidates must have been born after January 2nd 1987 but before January 1st 1991. That is, he should be between 18 and 22 years of age as on 01.01.2009. Relaxation to SC/ST and other candidates are applicable as per Government rules.
Scale of pay for UP Police
Rs.5200-20200 with a Grade pay of Rs.1900.
Educational qualification for UP Police Recruitment
The candidate must have passed 12th or its equivalent.
Desirable
Special preference will be given to those candidates with 2 years experience in Pradeshik seva. The candidate should have a NCC B certificate and certificate in basic computer applications.
Physical qualifications for UP Police Recruitment
For Male
The candidate must at least be 168cms in height (160cms for ST) and he should have a chest perimeter of 84cms (82cms for ST). There will be initial Long run test to filter out candidates. A long run of 10kms must be completed in 60 minutes.
For Female
The candidate must at least be 152cms (147cms for ST) and she should have a chest perimeter of 84cms (82cms for ST). There will be initial Long run test to filter out candidates. A long run of 5kms must be completed in 35 minutes and weight for female 45-58 kg.
Application procedure for UP Police Recruitment
Interested and eligible candidates are advised to approach any head Post offices in Uttar Pradesh and obtain the OMR application form by paying a fee of Rs.50.
These forms will be available between 10.07.2009 and 10.08.2009. Application forms must be filled in completely and must be submitted to the same post offices from where it was purchased on or before 10.08.2009.
