Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the constitutional body for the recruitment and staffing of the top government jobs in the Indian government. The major examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) are the civil services examination which is conducted for the recruitment of the IAS /Indian Administrative service, IPS/ Indian Police service, IFS/ Indian Foreign Service, IRS / India Revenue Services, Indian Postal Services, Indian Railways Services and also officers jobs in government departments. Indian forest service examination is conducted for the recruitment of the Forest officers, NDA and CDS examination for the recruitment of the officers in the Indian Armed Forces, combined medical services examination, jobs in the central government departments and ministries. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) also conduct recruitment process for the state level public service commission if asked. The proces of recruitment of staff by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is on the recommendation of the Ministry of Personnel, Government of India.
