Manipur Public Service Commission is responsible for recruitment of Gazetted Officers in the State. Manipur Public Service Commission was housed in the Old Secretariat Building Complex for almost nine years, it was later shifted to the present location in January, 1981. It conducts yearly examinations for the recruitment of Civil Servants, Police Officers in the DSP rank and various other allied services. Job aspirants must keep abreast with the official website of MPSC. Candidates who want to join MPSC , should also be proficient in the official language of the state, as most of the jobs require the officers to work in remote areas of the state. Normally exams are conducted every year for the combined posts.

Manipur PSC 2010 Eligibility
The candidate must hold a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central. A candidate who has appeared or intends to appear at an examination passing of which would render him eligible to appear at this examination.

This application form along with an Information Brochure containing general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledgment card and an envelope for sending the application is obtainable from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country as listed in Appendix-III of Notice against cash payment of Rs. 20/-
Manipur PSC 2010 Plan of the Examination
The Civil Services Examination comprises of two successive stages:
(i) Civil Services Examination Written and Interview for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts.
(ii) Civil Services Examination for the selection of candidates for Main Examination.
Functions of the Manipur Public Service Commission
It is the duty of the State Public Service Commission to conduct examinations for appointment to the services of the state.
The State Public Service Commission will be consulted by the State Government on the following issues.
1. on any claim for the award of a pension in respect of injuries sustained by a person while serving under the Government in a civil capacity and any question as to the amount of any such award.
2. on all disciplinary matters of a person serving the Government of a state in a civil capacity, including memorials or petitions relating to such matters;
3. on all matters relating to methods of recruitment to civil services and civil posts;
4. on the principles to be followed while making appointments, promotions and transfers to civil services and posts;
