Jadavpur University cut off for gate 2010
It was established in the year 1955. It is one of the premier institutes in India for research. It comprises of two campuses one in Jadavpur and other in Salt lake. The University Grants Commission has recognised the University as one of the first five universities in the country with a potential for excellence.
Admissions to Jadavpur University is highly competitive especially for undergraduate engineering courses. students for the post graduate courses are admitted through GATE exams. The cut off for post graduate courses in Jadavpur University is that the GATE percentile should be more than 90, and this is followed by a written test and an interview and it is generally held in the month of April.
Jadavpur University SELECTION NORMS FOR ADMISSION IN :
4-Semester P.G. Courses in Engg./Tech./Arch/Pharm
GATE/NET: Obtained Bachelor’s degree in Engg./Tech./ Pharm./Arch. Or
M.Sc./M.A. as given in the Schedule below with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PD) and
qualified through GATE/NET.
(A) GATE Candidates :
GATE Score - 70 marks
Interview and/or Admission Test - 30 marks
(B) Sponsored Candidates :
Qualifying Exam. result - 50 marks
(B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm/M.A/M.Sc. )
Admission Test and Interview - 40 marks
(At least 2 years relevant experience
after awarding t he U.G./M.Sc.Degree.)
2 marks per year of relevant experience
to the maximum of - 10 marks
(C) Self -Sponsored Candidates :
Qualifying Exam. result - 50 marks
(B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm/M.A/M.Sc. )
Interview and/or Admission Test - 50 marks
