The University of Calicut, the second university to be set up in Kerala, came into being in 1968 with the objective of developing human resources in the northern districts of Kerala by extending the reach of higher education and by promoting research in all areas of development with particular emphasis on technology and art and culture of Kerala.
Calicut University Job Vacancies for the Professor, Lecturer and Reader in University of Calicut applications in the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for appointment to the following teaching positions in the departments of the University as detailed below.

Pay scale :
Scale of Pay
Lecturer :Rs. 8000 – 275 – 13500(Pre-revised Scale)
Reader: Rs. 12000 – 420 – 18300(Pre-revised Scale)
Professor :Rs. 16400 – 450 – 20900 – 500 – 22400(Pre-revised Scale)
Application fees :
Application fee for each category of post is as follows:
a) Lecturer:Rs. 300/-
b) Reader:Rs. 400/-
c) Professor:Rs. 500/-
Note: Sc/ST candidates need to remit only 25% of the above fee.
How to apply
candidates are requested to apply in the prescribed from, which can be had from the undersigned on requisition by remitting 100/- being the cost of application form along with a self addressed stamped (stamp worth Rs. 25/-) envelop of size 25x12 cm.

The University is yet to conduct the competitive test for selection for the post of Assistant in the University service in response to the notification inviting applications for the post.The date will be published in the dailies and also posted on the University website.Please be on the look-out for the same
