BSNL has given a recruitment job notification for the recruitment of 171 Telecom Technical Assistants (TTAs) vacancies in Bihar Telecom Circle. Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application form. The details regarding age limit, educational qualification and other details of BSNL Recruitment is given below

BSNL TTA vacancy details

Total no. of posts: 171 posts

Name of the posts: Telecom Technical Assistants: 171 posts.

Age Limit: Between 18 to 27 years of age as on 31-10-2011, age relaxation as per rules.

Educational qualification: Candidates should have 3 years Diploma in engineering in any of the following disciplines-Telecommunications Engineering Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Radio Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instruments Technology and Information Technology.

Application Fee: Candidates paid the fee for Rs 500/- (No fee for SC/ST/PH candidates) in favour of A.O. (B&A) BSNL, % C.G.M.T. Patna, payable at Patna.

Selection Procedure: The mode of selection is based on written test through multiple choice objective type questions.

How to Apply: The eligible candidates may send their application in prescribed format given in the advertisement, three identical copies of recent Passport size Photographs out of which one should be pasted on the application form, duly attested, and the other two to be pasted on the admit card at the place given, along with attested copies of required essentials and enclosures to the following address AGM (Estt) O/o the Chief General Manager Telecom, Bihar Telecom Circle, Sanchar Sadan, Budh Marg, Patna-800001 on or before 31-10-2011.

BSNL Telecom Technical Assistant Exam Pattern:

Telecom Technical Assistant (TTA) examination consists total 200 marks. Only one paper having objective type questions will be given to the examinees at the time of test. This paper will have three parts namely,

Part – I – General Ability Test – 20 marks

Part – II – Basic Engineering – 90 marks

Part – III – Specialization – 90 marks

Standard of Questions

Part – I – General ability test of Engineering Diploma level

Part – II – Basic Engineering test of Diploma level

Part- III - Specialization, the candidate has to attempt a common set of question of the syllabus

Minimum Qualifying Marks

Candidates should have 40 % for the candidates belong to UR category and 33% for the candidates belongs to SC / ST / OBC.

Candidates belonging to UR category must get 30% marks in each sections of the exam to qualify and candidates belonging to SC / ST/ OBC category have relaxation of 10% marks in each sections of the exam.

Additional 2% relaxation in marks will be given to the PH candidates.

Scoring of Marks

For each correct answer gives one marks to the candidate

For each wrong answer will deduct 1/4th marks of a correct answer or for four wrong answer one full mark will be deducted.

Preparation of Merit List

Merit list will base on the marks obtained by the candidates.

Preparation of Waiting list

Waiting list will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates. This list is for those candidates who have qualified the examination but could not find the place in the merit list. This list will be valid for one year.

Syllabus for Telecom Technical Assistant (TTA)

Part –I

General Ability Test – 20 marks

Comprehension and understanding, Synonyms and Antonyms, fill in the blanks, general knowledge etc.

Part – II

Basic Engineering – 90 marks

Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Basic Electricity, electronic devices and circuits and Digital technique.

Part- III

Specialization – 90 marks

Electrical, Communication, network, instruments and measurement, control system, microprocessors and computers.
